The McBarge is located in the Burrard Inlet, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The Friendship 500 is the official name for this floating McDonald’s. Abandoned for the past 27 years after its debut in the Expo ’86. Designed by Robert Allen Ltd., it was 1 of 5 McDonald’s at the Expo which were all constructed for a total of $12 million.

Scenes for the movie ‘Blade : Trinity’ were shot using the McBarge in 2004.

More recent news for the barge includes making it apart of ‘Sturgeon’s on the Fraser’ or using the barge as a homeless shelter. It has a lot of local support but is still waiting on council approval since 2009.
